Consultant
Experience: Minimum, two years of experience in accounting and financial reporting. Personnel in this category shall possess at least a BA, BS, or equivalent in accounting, finance, auditing, or a related field. Current professional recognized certification in accounting, finance or auditing (Certifications include CGFM or CPA) is preferred.
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
- Professional knowledge of accounting and budgetary accounting, concepts and generally accepted standards, principles, practices, methods and procedures, and their special application in federal government accounting.
- Familiarity with OMB A-136 and OMB A-123
- Experience with financial analysis, reconciliation, and reporting
- Ability to solve complex problems and make informed recommendations
- General understanding of the USSGL and the relationships between accounts
- Experience executing accounting and system reconciliations, ability to identify how or what is causing the reconciling differences and explaining or brief any results found.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) a plus
Senior Consultant
Experience: Minimum, five years of experience in various aspects of accounting and financial reporting. Personnel in this category shall possess at least a BA, BS, or equivalent in accounting, finance, auditing, or a related field. Current professional recognized certification in accounting, finance or auditing (Certifications include CGFM or CPA) is preferred.
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
- Professional knowledge of accounting and budgetary accounting, concepts and generally accepted standards, principles, practices, methods and procedures, and their special application in federal government accounting.
